Turned a golf team into a culture brand

Ripper GC had major winners, limited player access outside competition, and a league still explaining itself. Most teams would post highlights and hope. I made the constraint the strategy: a brand built on lifestyle, humour, and camaraderie, not event footage. Golf reframed for the 18-34 golf-curious — built to earn a new audience, not chase the existing one.

Defined the point of view, tone, and social-first programming across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. Created a repeatable content system — series formats, creator collabs, rollout playbooks — so a small team could scale output without scaling headcount. No paid media. The creative had to earn its own reach.

Branded content strategy did the commercial work: doubled branded content revenue and drove $6.2M in earned media. The playbooks were adopted league-wide by LIV — one team's brand system became the operating model for others.
